At Motion Plumbers, we specialise in bathroom plumbing – from replacing old fixtures to rerouting pipes for a new layout.
Whether you’re modernising a tired bathroom, fixing long-standing leaks or preparing for a full makeover, our qualified plumbers make sure the plumbing side of your project is done properly, safely and to code.
We work across South Africa, helping homeowners, landlords, body corporates and businesses upgrade their bathrooms with reliable pipework, quality fittings and strong water pressure.
You handle the style, tiles and décor – we make sure the water and drainage behind the walls can keep up.

Bathroom upgrades often start with the plumbing. Old pipes, poor water pressure and badly installed fixtures can cause leaks, damp and constant maintenance issues. Our team focuses on the technical side so your bathroom looks good and works perfectly.
Toilet Relocation & Replacement
Replace old, leaking or constantly running toilets with water-efficient models, or move your toilet to a more practical position. We handle all supply, waste and vent pipework so the new layout functions correctly.
Shower Plumbing Upgrades
Install or upgrade shower mixers, shower heads and concealed pipework. We can help convert a bath to a walk-in shower (plumbing side), improve water pressure and ensure hot and cold supplies are balanced.
Bath & Basin Plumbing Changes
Move or replace baths and basins, adjust pipe positions and install new taps, mixers or wall-mounted faucets. We make sure waste pipes are correctly sized and sloped to prevent slow draining and bad smells.
Pipe Rerouting & Reconfiguration
When you change your bathroom layout, pipes often need to move. We reroute hot, cold and waste lines inside walls, floors or ceilings, making sure everything is safe, neat and accessible where possible.
Upgrading Old or Corroded Pipes
Replace ageing galvanised or badly joined pipes with modern, durable materials. This can help prevent leaks, improve flow and reduce rust-coloured water in basins, baths and showers.
Water Pressure & Temperature Improvements
Investigate and resolve low pressure, inconsistent temperatures and long hot-water wait times in the bathroom. We adjust pipe sizing, valves and pressure-reducing or balancing components where needed.
Bathroom Drainage & Venting Improvements
Upgrade floor drains, shower traps and basin/bath waste pipes to improve drainage and reduce gurgling or odours. Correct venting helps your entire bathroom plumbing run more smoothly.
Leak Detection & Hidden Bathroom Leaks
Track down hidden leaks behind tiles, in ceilings or under floors using modern leak-detection methods. We repair the plumbing and work neatly with your builder or tiler to minimise damage.
Note: Motion Plumbers focuses on the plumbing work. We don’t offer full building or tiling services, but we’re happy to coordinate with your chosen contractor or recommend trusted partners for the finishing touches.

Upgrading bathroom plumbing can feel stressful if you’re not sure where to start. We follow a clear process to keep everything organised and minimise disruption in your home or business.
Initial Consultation & Assessment
We discuss your goals, current problems and any layout changes you’re planning. Where possible, we visit the property to inspect existing pipework, fixtures and access points.
Advice & Detailed Quotation
Based on your plans and budget, we recommend the best plumbing approach, explain any constraints (like structural walls or pipe access) and provide a transparent quote for the plumbing portion of the job.
Scheduling & Coordination
Once you approve the quote, we schedule the work at a time that suits you. If there is a builder, tiler or cabinet installer involved, we coordinate with them so the plumbing work fits into the broader project timeline.
Plumbing Upgrade & Installation
Our plumbers isolate water supplies, protect nearby areas and carry out the required work: pipe rerouting, fixture installation, connection of new fittings and upgrade of drainage or vents. We keep you updated as we go.
Testing, Compliance & Clean-Up
After installation, we thoroughly test all fittings for leaks, correct operation and drainage. Where applicable, we can assist with plumbing compliance certificates. We tidy the work area so your contractors can proceed with tiling, painting or finishing.
After-Service Support
If you experience any issues once the bathroom is back in use, we’re available to inspect, adjust and answer questions. Our goal is a bathroom that works perfectly for years, not just on the day of installation.
A bathroom plumbing upgrade includes anything related to the water supply and drainage in your bathroom – for example moving or replacing toilets, basins, showers and baths; rerouting hot and cold water pipes; improving drainage; and upgrading old or leaking pipework. It does not include painting, tiling or cabinetry, which are usually handled by a builder or tiler.
Yes. In many bathroom projects we handle only the plumbing while another contractor manages the building and finishing work. We’re happy to coordinate with your team, agree on timelines and clearly mark pipe positions, connection points and any access hatches needed.
Not always. Simple fixture replacements can often be done with minimal disturbance. However, if pipes need to be moved to a new location or are leaking behind walls or under floors, we may have to open certain areas to reach them. We’ll explain this clearly during the assessment so you can plan tiling or repair work accordingly.
It depends on the scope. Replacing a toilet or basin may take just a few hours, while a full bathroom plumbing reconfiguration can take one to several days, especially if multiple fixtures are being moved. During quoting we’ll give you a realistic timeframe so you know how long the bathroom will be out of use.
Absolutely. We handle both small and large projects – from simple tap or mixer upgrades to complete bathroom plumbing changes. Sometimes a small change like a new mixer or shower head can make a big difference to comfort and water efficiency.
If you’re planning a bathroom makeover – or you’re simply tired of leaks, poor pressure and outdated fittings – Motion Plumbers is ready to help with the plumbing side of the project.
